At the T.Y. Table Quiz

On the Tuesday before the Halloween break, the Ard Scoil T.Y. s had a fun quiz with the transition years from the C.B.S.  At half past one the boys arrived down into the school. We divided into 25 groups of four, two boys and two girls. The quiz was on general knowledge with picture and music rounds.

During the breaks between rounds some students from both schools volunteered to sing songs as the rest laughed and sang along. Everyone was in stitches at many of the acts and there was a terrific atmosphere in the hall. Many spot prizes (mainly Jellies) were given out by quizmaster Mr. Collins.

At the end of the quiz the winners’ prizes were given out to the first, second and third place teams. First place went to Darragh Lyons, Conor Donovan, Laura Cusackand Grace Heffernan. Second place went to Doireann O’Keeffe, Doireann O’Brien, Darragh Herlihy and Shane O’Riordan. Coming in third were Emily Power, Emily Quinn, Darragh O’Grady and Shane O’Donovan,

It was obvious that all the students thoroughly enjoyedit and gelled well together. We are looking forward to  another similar event.
