Table Quiz, Practical Exams Continue, T.Y.s, Congratulations, Football, Bingo 29th April 2013 Lourdes Committee Table Quiz The Lourdes Committee recently held a very successful table quiz for Primary school students. It proved to be a very busy night as extra tables had to be added. Great fun was had by all while raising funds for the pilgrimage to Lourdes when a group of 5th year girls will help with the invalid pilgrims. Thanks to all those who participated and all those who helped out on the night. Practical Exams Continue This week saw students take their music practical exams and Leaving Cert Geography pupils wrote up their field projects and took Frnach or German oral exams. The students are pleased and no doubt relieved to see this section of their exams finished. T.Y.s The T.Y. students return from their week’s work experience and head into the last frantic weeks of term as they prepare for end of year interviews and tests. It’s time to check the journals to remind themselves of all their activities and experiences this year as they put together their year book. Congratulations. Congratulations to past pupil, Stacey Sheehan, who was recently received an award at U.C.C.’s Prize Giving ceremony for achieving the highest marks in the module Beverage Technology. Football. Well done to students Ciara Hurley, Caitriona O’Brien, Grace Heffernan, Lauren McGregor, Laura Cusack and Kate McGrath who were all members of the Waterford Ladies Under 16 Football team which recently defeated Clare in the Munster final. Well done girls. Bingo. Don’t forget Monday night is Bingo night at the Ard Scoil. The big prize wasn’t won last week so I wonder will there be a big winner this week!
