Library Notes, Year End Excursions and Events, Farewell to Class of 2012
28th May 2012
Library Notes
Many of our students are avid readers and love to go to the library to select a book. Ms. Cotter is always delighted to receive suggestions from students about the choice of new books. This year, first year student, Chloe Shanahan started a new trend by bringing a bundle of her own well loved and well read books as a gift to the library. She was followed by classmate Grainne Phelan and then second year student Sarah Lonergan donated a big bag of books to the library. We thank the girls for their gifts which have been well received by the other pupils. Keep on reading!

Year End Excursions and Events
The classes celebrated end of year with various outings. The first years had an adventurous and very wet and muddy day in Oyster haven while second years enjoyed the Titanic Experience in Cobh and Bowling in Youghal. The T.Y.s had a glorious day of surfing in Tramore while the 5th years also went to Youghal.
Of course the fun obstacle race between a team of teachers and students in the sport centre was one of the highlights of the year! This event, organised by P.E. teacher Ms. Emillie Pickering , in aid of Special Olympics, Dungarvan was the scene of much hilarity as teachers and students did their best to outdo each other!
