Panto - Sing a Song of Sixpence
All the weeks of rehearsal finally came to fruition this week as the talented singers, dancers, actresses, musicians under the direction of Mr. Tommy Collins brought the panto, Sing a Song of Sixpence , to the stage. Following midweek matinees for pupils of the local primary school, the Panto took place in the junior hall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
The Prince and Princess were charming, the witch was terrifying, the Dame was hilarious; indeed it is impossible in this space to list all the wonderful performances of this excellent cast. Well done to producer Mr. Collins, Musical Director, Mrs. Joan Collins,Ms. Louise Neylin, Ms.Anne Gleeson and all the staff and students who worked so hard to make the production so successful.
6th year student Charlotte Govier’s ballet students were a delight as were the hip hop dancers of past pupil Aine Organ. The first year choir under the baton of Mrs. Collins sang beautifully and a special dance act from the staff room brought shrieks of laughter.
A big thank you to the Art department under Mrs. Foley and to our caretaker Mr. John Morgan who did such Trojan work. Also thank you to the Parents’ Council who took care of front of house and provided such delicious refreshments.

T.Y. Notes - Work Experience
The T.Y. students returned to school this week after two weeks work experience. We were pleased to receive such good reports from the employers who we must thank for taking in the girls and giving them the opportunity to experience the world of work.
Intel Log on and Learn.
The T.Y.s and their partners completed this session of the Intel Log on and learn programme. This is where the girls “buddy” a retired person and teach then computer skills. This group successfully completed the programme and the girls are now looking forward to the next session.
There are still some places available for the next course which will begin after Christmas. Anyone interested in taking part should contact the school office, telephone number 058 41464 and give their name.
