Fund Raising Vintage Run
Eamonn Foley, of the Tipperary Light Car and Motorcycle Club, has organised a vintage run on next Sunday, May 15th, in aid of the Ard Scoil Lourdes Helpers. Every year a group of 5th year students travel with the Diocesan Pilgrimage to assist the elderly and disabled pilgrims.
This year, Eamonn Foley has presented us with a novel and very interesting fundraising event. The run will begin in Dungarvan and travel over a magnificent scenic route. The entry fee is €25 per car or motorcycle which you wish to take on the run, and remember, this is in aid of a very good cause.
Refreshments will be provided in the school and I am told there also many “spot” prizes to be won on the day. We thank Mr. Foley most sincerely for his work in organising this event and I am looking forward to seeing the magnificent vintage vehicles on the day.
For further information, please contact Mr. Eamonn Foley, Ballinamuck at 058-44105 or 087-7551130.
The run will start at the Ard Scoil at 12.00 on Sunday. Even if you are not participating, please come along to wave everyone off and enjoy the spectale of these wonderful vintage vehicles.

5th Year Outdoor Pursuits
Rain and shine! That describes the weather for the 5th year trip tpo Oysterhaven, Co. Cork, to celebrate the end of the school year. A great time was had by all, particularly since the water sports were not affected by the morning downpours. By lunchtime, right on cue, the sun was shining as we all enjoyed the orienteering activities. Well done to all and thank you to our tutors and year head Mrs. Norma O’Driscoll.
