Becoming a Garda and Hockey Victory

CSPE Project

On Tuesday 15th of February the third year students from Ard Scoil invited a guest speaker, Garda R Slevin, in to talk to them about the law and being part of an Garda Siochana, as part of their Junior Cert CSPE Action Project. Everyone enjoyed the talk and had lots of questions for the guard. The students gained much information from the speech and now have a better understanding of what’s involved in being a guard.

Hockey

The second year hockey squad travelled out to St Augustine’s college on Friday the 18th to take on the school for their second league game. A great match was played and our girls came out victorious with a score of 3-0. They now have three more league games to complete and we wish them the best of luck!

The first years also went to the Friary to play a friendly game. Unfortunately the lost 2-0 but played admirably none the less. A big thank you to Brother Lennon for providing the girls with an opportunity to play a match.
