Senior Footballers On To Munster Finals!
Newsletter 7th February 2011
On Tuesday 1st February the senior football team travelled to Stradbally to play Stella Maris, Tramore in the Munster schools semi-final. It was a very tight first half but our scorers, including a goal from Aisling Cronin kept us in the match, with a half time score of 1-3 to 2-2 in Tramores favour.
Ard Scoil came out in the second half a stronger team and drove forward winning practically all possession and really pulling together as a team. Two great goals from 1st year Ciara Hurley in the second half sealed the win. Richael Hayes, playing with an injured hand scored a magnificent 0-6 from play. The final score tallied at 2-2 to 3-11, bringing the Ard Scoil girls qualifying to a Munster final against CTI Clonmel.
