Former Pupil Addresses Students About Careers in Engineering

Isabel Cashman, former pupil of Ard Scoil na nDéise, recently visited the school to speak to fifth years about careers in engineering. These students are busy preparing career plans, college investigations, personal statements and CV's. They appreciated Isabel's lively presentation describing her senior years in Ard Scoil, her engineering degree in Trinity College Dublin and her rising career in engineering at home and abroad.

Her current job in a multi-national French firm based in London gives Isabel plenty of opportunity to travel abroad. This enables her to use her fluent French and she emphasised the importance of keeping up a language which can improve later career opportunities.

The staff and pupils were impressed by Isabel's presentation. It's always a pleasure to see past pupils who are willing to donate their time and enthusiasm to inspire current students.
