Goldilocks & The Three Bears
The December 2009 Panto
The staff and students had a very busy week, tiring but rewarding. The show was a big hit with the audiences, the witches were wicked, the clowns were funny, Goldilocks was gorgeous, the Bears were cuddly and the little guests from the Primary schools were cute!
We must thank Mr. and Mrs, Collins, Ms. Neylin and Mrs. Simons and their many helpers for producing another week of enjoyment. Mrs Foley and Colleen Ferncombe painted wonderful backdrops while Ms.Gleeson and Mrs. Lucey and their stage management crew kept everything running smoothly. Thanks to Mrs. Ryan, Mrs O’Hare and their teams for all the work with costumes and makeup and to all staff members who helped out, both during the show but also in the weeks of preparation beforehand. Of Course we mustn’t forget Mr John Morgan for all his hard work whenever a saw or a nail etc was needed!
A big thank you to the teachers from St Mary’s, Coolnasmear, Carriglea and Scoil Garbhain who prepared delightful acts with their pupils as part of the show and to Mrs Collins group from Kinsalebeg who attended the Teddy Bears’ Picnic!!
Main Cast; Goldilocks, Rebecca Hodnett; Ronnie the Ring master, Zoe Scanlon and Maire O’Donnell; Sadie Spangle, Grace O’Sullivan and Amy Duggan; Joey the Clown, Aisling Fox; Fairy, Kate Hynes and Layla Quarry; Wicked Witch What, Lucy Whelan and Andrea Foley; Pedro, Sarah Glascott; Baby Bear, Aoife Murphy, Emma Casey and Ciara Gildea; Mammy Bear, Samantha Hayes and Roisin Cleary; Daddy Bear, Clodagh Gallagher and Grainne Dwyer. We also had wonderful dancers from different classes choreographed by April O Brien, Lucy Collins and Charlotte Govier.
If I were to include all those who worked so hard to make the show such a success, I would take up pages and pages! Suffice it to say a lot of hard work and weeks of rehearsals went into making this such fun. We must also thank the Parents’ Council who came up trumps as usual working front of house and catering for us all at the interval
So, well done once again to Mr. Collins and his crew for their bravery and ceaseless hard work in bringing this panto to the stage for very enjoyable shows.
