Newsletter - 1st November 2009 Parents’ Council Table Quiz. The Parents’ Council are organising a table quiz in Minnie’s on Thursday, November 12th to raise necessary funds for the Ard Scoil. They would very much appreciate the support of parents and friends to ensure a successful evening. The Council have done sterling work over the years to raise funds to provide excellent facilities for the students, such as the wonderful new computers installed in the computer room this year. Our pupils now have the benefit of superb I.T. Facilities throughout the school. To help our school AND have a very enjoyable night out, get your team ready for Thursday the 12th! A table of four…..€20.00 T.Y. News. The girls are hugely busy as usual but have found time to help the 2nd years in organising events for Pink day in aid of Breast Cancer research and have held cake sales in aid of The West Waterford Hospice…..more details next week. They are all very energetically setting up their enterprises with varied business ideas. Among these are INKZ who are providing customised runners, a very popular scheme, Natural Beauty who will manufacture facemasks, Dathanna Deasa who are creating colouring books, Classy Cakes whose truffles and muffins are just too delicious and Breakfast Bonanza who provide healthy breakfasts! I will mention others in future notes as there are so many good ideas being developed in both classes.
