Programmes and Levels
All 1st Years take Art, Craft and Design for the entire first year.
Junior Cert Art, Craft and Design, optional.
TY module in Art, Craft and Design.
TY/Carriglea module in Art, Craft and Design.
Leaving Cert Art, Craft and Design with History and Appreciation is a two year programme of work. Combining theory and practical in order to develop understanding and problem solving skills. It is concerned with the way individuals manage their resources to meet physical, emotional, intellectual, social and economic needs. Optional.
Art News
Transition Years and 5th Years are working on the theme of Chronicals for this years Art Exhibition in Lismore Castle. This affords students to work on a large scale in a variety of media. To have students work displayed in such a beautiful space as the purpose built gallery is a great experience for the girls. The exhibition will be open to the public in March and following this a selection of work will be exhibited at The Old Market House Arts Centre, Dungarvan.
Congratulations to 5th and 6th Year students who took part in this years Credit Union competition. Under the theme of ‘Gotta Lotta Colour’ students created imaginative compositions. Winners in the 14 – 17 age group:

Teams of Transition Year students work on designing stage sets, posters, and props for the school pantomime.
1st Years have just completed posters for an in house fundraiser for Cancer Care Unit at Waterford Regional Hospital.
